The project Le Train Bleu in Doha, Qatar reimagines the legendary Parisian restaurant located in Gare de Lyon. The new space, set within Al Hazm Mall, preserves the grandeur of the original while adapting it to a modern Middle Eastern setting.

The interior features a spacious dining hall with elegant arches, a double-height ceiling, refined stucco, and intricate decorative details. Artistic ceiling paintings reinterpret the Parisian originals, transforming European iconography into ornamental motifs inspired by local culture.

Public spaces include a welcoming entrance lounge, a pastry corner with display counters, and a main dining area centered around a sculptural bar. The kitchen and service zones extend across two levels, ensuring efficient operation and functionality. Warm lighting, rich textures, and natural materials enhance the refined atmosphere and highlight the connection between tradition and modernity.

The main difference with the original Paris restaurant is the plan, which is trapezoidal, with supporting structural columns and side arc-vaulted windows that are not symmetrical with the main axis of the column. The restaurant in Doha is wider, shorter and higher as the original.

The restaurant offers more than fine dining. It delivers a sensory experience that celebrates both Parisian sophistication and the cultural identity of Qatar. The project pays homage to the historic French restaurant while creating a new architectural narrative of elegance and harmony.
